Marie Antoinette Mixed Media
I needed lots to do this past week to keep my mind occupied, had my steroid injection in shoulder....ouch..yes it hurt !That was last Monday,Tuesday was agony, couldnt lift my arm,bad day doing nothing.
Wednesday loads better it was working already doc said about a week to feel the benefit,so really happy and decided to think of something to keep busy before my Physio starts again(dreading that!)
So here it is a Marie Antoinette mixed media book (mostly fabric) two sewing machines and both giving me problems, think i should clean and oil ughhh..........
Some of these pages i like and some i dont, the hinged rings holding it together i,m not happy with, may change to ribbons,I,m at a loss what to do,I,m open to suggestions :)
So heres the inside pages ..........with a story of Marie on each opposite page.

Stunning!!Hope the shoulder feels better!!Hugs,Cat
Your art is gorgeous! This fabric book is so lovely...
This is just lovely - you could just tie short lengths o ribbon around the rings - lots and lots of them
Hi there
first time on your blog. You do some very nice work. love all your fabric and lace details. Glad to hear your shoulder's feeling better.
It utterly, completely, exquisitely stunning. I admire and adore very single page - a true work of art
Gorgeous book, Pattie! Could you not wrap the rings with lots of ribbons, preferably dyed, frayed shabby chic?
Glad to hear your shoulder is less painful. I know it's a long slow healing process.
I love your work! It is beautiful! I have been faced with the same question on my books...I have tied lots of fibers and ribbons on mine but they don't completely cover the rings. So I have also been wondering about making a narrow fabric tube to cover the rings. I haven't tried it yet....
Very lovely work!! I've been troubled with shoulder pain too, but can't stop handworking. Take care of yourself!!
Hi Pattie, this book is very pretty indeed. I hope you are pain free very soon, I know what that can be like :(

Gorgeous art work - I was blown away by it. I do have a question, how did you get the "vivid" colors of Marie onto the fabric. Thank you ahead of time for the info. Love ya, Audrey at huffpede@yahoo.com
You never cease to amaze and inspire me with your art Pattie.
I hope your pain is eased very soon Hunni - you have my every sympathy!
(From one lady of a certain age to another! LOL!)
Please pop over to my blog - I have something for you!

Your fabric work is always so beautiful Pattie and this is no exception. I, like some of the other ladies, would tie ribbons, lace and fibres on the rings. I hope your shoulder begins to ease soon.... you've really been through the wars poor thing. Jan x
Truely beautiful, I love everything aboout it. I tied mine with several ribbons through each hole, but next time will use slightly smaller rings and ribbons. I see why people use old books. Hope you are recovered from your days of pain.
