Clay ATC !

This makes a big change for me !A challenge in my group to make an ATC with clay,I used Air dried clay as its easier, I cant stand baking in any shape or form lol...I used a whole list of Mixed Media ! Luminere paint,Acrylics,accent beads,metalic markers,inks and silver rub-on......and a rubber stamp for the daisy. Very enjoyable,may make another while I,m in the mood :)just wished I could get away from this colour,everything I do lately is Turquoise !

Storing Stencils/Masks is a very simple task when your in the mood ! a friend got me going by sending me this link here I spent a most enjoyable day creating my way :)

Oriental Tag Book

I haven't done Oriental for years! Something inspired me,so here we are ! haha,Had to get it out my system..... The front is matted and layered up,stamped with Oriental image under vellum,diecut flowers,clay button,painted gold Acrylic then then gold rub on over......sewn in signature pages,ribbons tied into sequin waste for the spine then glued on......Back is my Gelli Plate heart,(which was dipped into the Rangers melting pot)then went over the shiny black card with gold rub-on,think that's it lol to be used for Journaling,I shall keep the Oriental theme running through.... As I had some scraps left over I made a couple of ATC,s Gelli Plate backgrounds. Hope you like,Happy Crafting x

A little bit of everything

Its been a busy couple of months,trying to get Birthday cards out the way and one Anniversary card also a New homes Booklet of little decorated houses,for my son and wife who are soon to move ! I have tried to use lots of different techiques to make the cards more interesting and more enjoyable for me too :) I made the box to put the little houses in too A Birthday card for my son....... Some tags to put on cards ! and a mixed media card ! busy busy lol Another Tag card !

Experimental morning !

I was so impressed when I first saw the Spellbinders Bossabilities folders I just had to have a couple ! so here I am using one for my experiment,I used the Ornamental Swirls Folder, Gesso, Dylusion Inks, Gold Metalic Rubons, Mod Podge, Oval diecut (Spellbinders), some daisy ribbon,.......... I used the folder in my Grand Calibur (A base plate/folder with card stock(tag already cut)laid inside folder/then Raspberry plate on top) Beautiful impression before I start ! First I gave it a coat of thin Gesso,waited for it to dry. Sprayed lightly with Dylusion inks mopped up with some kitchen towel,dried with hot gun between each colour.(could go muddy or change colour if you don't) Mod Podged over,dried with hotgun. then using some cotton wool I wiped over with the gold rubon just to highlight the swirls,then buffed up. While that was drying I made up the little tag at the top with an image I found in my local craft shop. The daisy ribbon at the bottom I dye'd, it didn't take to the dye to well,looks a bit grungy lol,I like grungy :) Now I have that out my system onto the next project ! Yet another Altered Domino Book !

I had a craft meeting at mine last night,I demonstrated how to make an altered domino book,fun evening ! some lovely work created by all :)

Back to Mixed Media !

At last I have found where I am happiest ! I just happened to come across this ladies Tutorial video here I love textured artwork,so I worked on this piece step by step to just get the hang of it,enjoyed every minute,although I ended up covered in glue ink and paint,the room looks like a bomb hit it.... it was worth it in the end! Now I would like to take it further with my own designs,colours etc and see what I come up with.......problem being what to do with the finished products lol,book covers umm, just pretty canvas,s......have to give this some thought :) Tags are a good idea ! especially at Christmas x

Cardmaking mode !

Due to buying a Grand Calibur,I had to try it out lol Rubber stamped,hand painted,background is a flower mask with Dylusion spray inks,ribbon altered with Spectrum Noir pen to match ,my thanks to Holly Bloomfield for the handmade jewelled pins !

Play Day !

I love making these,I timed myself it just took an hour to do,so easy,2 dominoes,some alcohol inks,a rubber stamp,(Stazon ink pad) gold embossing powder,cut the paper to size and fold,decorate,then I used UHU glue for fixing(very reliable,its not going to fall apart !)and some ribbon. They make nice little gifts for Arty friends :) I didn't have any green ribbon,boohoo,but looks ok !

Its all been happening !

First off my friend and I went to Covent Garden for a first time meet up with the Facebook Art Journaling Group girls,Dees came over from Amsterdam to meet us UK girls,a great time was had by all ! The other pics are an evening art journaling at mine with Harlow crafters lol ! what a mess ! hahaaa great evening,believe it or not some nice artwork was achieved,lots of fun. I did a little demo,although I,m still learning it was a first for the others,heres the end results

Recycling !

My recycled book made completely from cereal and shoe boxes ! Inspired by Jenniebellie here I went mostly my own way by using acrylic paints and scrim for the cover,the heart was made with my embellishing machine and a metal butterfly attached,which a friend gave me as the pin at the back was broken.The inside pages are all recycled cardboard, first painted,using masks and sprays,Tags stamping etc.The ribbons I tied into some sequin waste,then used UHU glue to attach. Warning this is very addictive !have now started a mini one lol Some inside pages,not quite finished,I keep going back and adding more as the mood takes me :)

Back to Oil Paint !

"Summer Flowers " which i started last Summer ! just finished,it was my birthday flowers given to me last June,Lucky i took a photo so i could paint at my leisure. Its been a bad winter for me the aches and pains get worse,of course its to be exspected at my age lol,roll on the Spring and lets get some warmth in these old bones :) This ones got me in the mood for painting again,so have to dig out some canvas,s !
