My first attempt at making a Domino Book,much easier than I thought ! :0) I just wanted to make it simple and quick for my first try,so mainly stamped alcohol inks & collaged,Mod Podge'd ,Glazed front domino. (new stamps Debs lol)Now sold in my Etsy shop !

We meet at last !!

Today I met Rustycage 11 and Piddawinkle for the first time ! (Top ..Debs left& Siobhan....me and Debs bottom) We first started chatting on Trimcraft a couple of years ago, swapping ATC's etc,........They both arrived at mine just before 11am after lots of crafty chatting ,and inspecting my craft room lol,we had lunch then descended on The Range to stock up (as if we havent got enough stuff lol ! ) then back to mine for more chats and a cuppa,the time just flew by to quickly ..........Thankyou girls for a fantastic enjoyable day !

Gothic Arch book Cover

I found the answer to my Gothic Arch cover,a beer can lol,same applied as below,run through Cuttlebug machine,it did take 2 cans to create back and front covers.Alcohol inks applied,embellishment added....This is just the embellishment for the actual book cover,I,m in the middle of altering an old book which i will place this in the center of the front cover,

I,m not to good at explaining,but will blog the completed book when finished.

This finished piece is backed onto thick card ,ready for fixing on to the book.

Tin Flower..ATC

Last night I had Soft Roes for tea......whats this got to do with anything you may ask LOL,well when i was opening the tin and taking the lid off I thought,wow this tin is quite thin,I could cut this with scissors,so ripped it off the bottom piece,washed it,then had a good think while eating my tea lol.
I decided to run it through my Cuttlebug Machine,placing the tin in an embossing folder,went through easy !,the colour was gold,so it would have been ok as it was,but we cant have that can we haha.....alcohol inks was the answer,it took to them well,then just added a gem to center flower ,punched a hole in top and braided,I was so pleased with myself lol..........
I uploaded a pic of it to show my Flickr friends,then found this is not a new idea ! they are using beer cans as well !
My motto is DONT throw anything away ! now i have to find some beer cans today,hope my neighbours dont see me when i go down our recycle bin LOL

Now i have the answer for the covers of my Gothic Book,Forgot to say that I backed the tin onto thick card and edged it with melted Beeswax,just a protection for sharp edges,but saying that you could leave an edging of card showing,I fixed the tin onto card with E6000 glue.

Another cold and freezing day ! The ideal weather for crafting,I need to work on more pages for my Gothic Arch Book,sooooo todays the day I created these 2..........I really dont mean to craft all day,it just happens,I should really be doing the dreaded ironing,which is hiding behind the door ughhhhh,another day tomorrow ! I find if I get an idea in my head,sit down and do it , or it will be gone out my head forever,infact I think I will have a book to jot down these ideas,although,I would much rather get it done !

These 2 have distressed inks backgrounds ,stamped with lace and old antique jewellery added ,the one at the top has Amber coloured stones which is not showing up very well.

I have to tell you about the Antique &second hand Market at Covent Garden on a Monday,if you are into old jewellery to alter for your art work,thats the place to go ! Whether its on every Monday I,m not to sure,I went thinking it would be the Crafts,what a suprise ! I was in my glory,and soooo cheap,I was buying handfuls of bits I had sorted out for £1 ,you need to think what you could use it on though.

Well thats 7 pages done up to now,I really need 12,then to make the front and back covers,I cant wait loveeee doing the covers,my minds working on it already lol..........

Altered Mini Book

Back Cover ,I found this lovely stone to place on the back its so pretty ,the beads hanging are attached to ribbon on the last page inside.

Paper Doll

I never ever thought I would be making Dolls lol,well here it is ! I joined Mad Mamma group on Flickr..........Monthly Art Dolls by MAMMA.

The theme is Spring ! so,my heading is "Wheres Spring".

This was a big challenge for me,but once started I couldnt let go lol,We are given a template to work with ,that makes life much easier,it wont be paper dolls every month either,I think sewing will be included on some,I,m not to sure,but if your into making dollies joinup !!

This one measures 6" from top to toe,I cut all the pieces out which i had transfered onto glossy card stock,using alcohol inks on all the body parts,(silver mixed with Meadow green)

Then stamped a daisy,cut round, coloured with sharpies,found a disc altered it by covering with a napkin flower for her tum.....The flower behind her head,I found in my stash,had to change the colour with inks to yellow,and used brads to fix her arms and legs on,so they move.

At the end of the month we are given a partner to swap with,its great to see what everyone comes up with,all the different creations from the same template !
