Fairy Card and Flowers !

OMG Whats happening to me,I have gone card crazy lol,cant stop making,may have something to do with the price of shop bought ones,I got a shock when i saw what they want for such boring cards! Enjoyed a bit of stamping today,Also made these flowers,I need them premade in my stash,They are diecut,then damped down a bit with spray,scrunched up a bit,just waiting for them to dry.Another bank holiday over..........thank god for Art and craft lol

Vintage Cards

Really been on a roll this week with cardmaking,lots of new dies to try out too.I now must stop spending ! This first card is a Twisted Easel,just paper fabric n lace,I adore vintage ! This next one is showing off my new dies, they are from Cheery Linn(think thats the name without looking up)the image is fabric,the papers are Kay&Co.The butterfly is the small Angel wing.......Love it but a devil to prick all the bits out. More cards on the way,must get a collection up for birthdays and thankyou,s etc,,then maybe stock up on Christmas ones!

Fabric Mixed Media Postcard

I made this mixed media postcard for a swap group i,m in the challenge was to stick objects on a card and stamp with it onto our own dye,d fabric, then make a postcard,so the background sprays you can see are bits of old Xmas decs brokeup,the butterfly i stamped and coloured then went over with Anita,s 3D clear gloss over the top,then beaded,enjoyed doing it !

Pretty in Pink

This is soooo different for me !I have been so inspired by my local craft group,I just had to make some cards,have a lot of birthdays coming up in the next few months,Also i get to use my new dies,this design is the Twisted easel card i have just learned how to do it by googling and watching a vidio.....watch this space,I have to get this out of my system *smile...... And a couple more!

Fabric Bird Book

I should be catching up in my journal or finishing my painting,but here i am making a 4x4 fabric bird book,I just flip from one thing to another !......Its raining,dark and very humid here,so having a break,feels like there is a storm on the way........... Cant wait to get these pages finished so I can start on the cover,my pages are all backed with felt,layered up with fabric images,and some lace and feathers,I have completed all the pages now just working on beading and embellishing each one.......

Twisted Easel Cards

Something else new i,m trying,never heard of this type of card before,very addictive !once i got the hang of folding the card,was well away ! The tulip type card needs more embellishing,proberly a pink bow or ribbons. Loveeeee trying new things out,at least i,ll have some cards ready for birthdays :))

Trying a New Technique

Yes i tried,First layer painting on Gesso,spraying Dylusions ink,then wiping over with a baby wipe,allowing to dry,cutting a flower piece from a Napkin,then layering on with Mod Podge...then i overpainted the flowers,to give some more definition,it worked for me.........heres the link if you want to try here Astrid Maclean,s beautiful work !I made mine into a watercolour Notepad.

Papercrafting !

Yes i,m having a change ! I bought a few new dies for my Vagabond machine and having a ball :)) a change is as good as a rest and i,m loving it.......thought i would make a mini birthday book,so no need for lots of pages,this will be the cover,of course knowing me i could get into it and keep going ! Another Page completed,these Xcut dies can be used in the Cuttlebug too

A little light Relief !

Artist Trading Cards for my local craft group.... The weather is so bad,no way am I going out today so made these fabric ones to trade,My town has just started up a craft group,I have met some of the girls already to swap craft supplies,we are all going to meet up every other Friday,should be fun !! Also this week i made my Great Grandaughter,s birthday card,shes 2years old next Sunday,how time flies !

The pic of her is fabric,so i covered with acetate to protect,all done with my new Xcut dies for my machine which are half the price of Spellbinders,A lady in our group is selling them,I shall be bankrupt haha.

Derwent Drawing Comp

Tim Holtz Grunge Book

I treated myself to one of these grunge board books ages ago,I love his stuff,and thought that will give me something to do when i need a change from Fabric Art.Not that i,m into lick and stick as i call it lol...I found its not easy,you still have to create a design,I do admire people who perfect this art !Its all but finished now except it needs some shabby dye'd ribbons on the hinged rings,I have seen them done better than this,its a case of what you have in your stash without spending money on pretty things :) So now I have that out my system,back to Fabric i hope, when i find some cotton material for doing my fabric images with,cant wait,i,m really into the shabby look at the moment,I want to try and create that look with another book but mixed media,maybe even a metal cover with fabric and lace,I have seen it done,ahhh well another challenge :))

I have made some little pockets in some of the pages,inserting some lovely little vintage tags someone made me,makes it more interesting.......
